Spa like hand care @ home

Manicures & pedicures are something a girl can never get enough of! However, we all have our budget and time constraints. Wouldn’t it be great if can get spa like treatments at a much lesser price…and that’s not all…how about if we get it everyday?

We must remember that if we desire beautiful hands; we need to care for them. Hands are as vulnerable to damage as our face. Pre-mature ageing and age spots can make your hands look 10 years older than your face. Do you skip your daily skin care just because you get 'that' exclusive facial done? No, you don’t! Similarly, if you get in the habit of using nourishing hand care treatments, you are destined to get smooth and radiant hands!

Girls…fret not! Help is right here!

I would suggest that you start with the basics- as you care for your face, do begin looking after your hands. Try these-

  • If your hands are too dry, skip the soap bar; use your facial cleanser to wash your hands.
  • Use a hand scrub once a week – I use Renewing hand scrub.
  • To even out skin tone and texture, it is imperative to use a nourishing hand cream.
  • Night nourishment should be richer in composition especially if your hands need advanced care – I recommend Reviving Hand Treatment Mask.
  • In case your hands are severely dry, like mine become during winters, use Intense Hand Protection Concentrate – once in the morning and then at bedtime.
  • Do not forget to wear at least a SPF 15 sunscreen when going out in the sun.
  • Always carry your hand cream in your bag, moisturize whenever your hands feel dry.
 I recommend-

Hair care for dry hair

Your crowning glory talks a lot about you. If your hair is well-maintained, you might never have to face a bad-hair day;)...just a  little consistent care takes you a long way.

Dry hair is a very common hair type. Its main character being coarseness and roughness through the hair length- coupled with visible flyways. This hair condition may be a result of several factors. Overdoing hair treatments, poor diet, stressed lifestyle, hormonal changes or high levels of pollution can individually or in combination cause dry hair. It is important to identify the cause of dry hair before deciding upon the treatment.

There are many treatments available in the market. However, according to me, the best treatment would be one which has the following:

  1. Is effective – results visible quickly.
  2. Gives excellent value for money- should not cost a bomb!
  3. Experience should be relaxing- as in a spa.
  4. Products are easy to use- not messy.
For this hair condition, I would recommend Oriflame Nature Hair Care collection. This is a wonderful range to inspire your dry hair with lavish, indulgent products with exquisite natural extracts of coconut oil and rice milk, to hydrate, nurture and condition. This range includes shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and a hot oil treatment.
Have a look at the products..

Coconut & ricemilk nourishing shampoo
Coconut & ricemilk conditioner
Shampooing hair is a basic hygiene regime. Hair should always be clean free from dust and grime… and to shampoo your hair and not use a conditioner is a crime! A conditioner has to be used after every wash.
Coconut and ricemilk nourishing shampoo shouldn’t be diluted before usage. Conditioner should never be applied on the scalp. It should be worked from the ends, upwards. Shampoo- 100ml.INR 99.
Conditioner-100ml.INR 99.

Nourishing Hair Mask with coconut and ricemilk extracts.
A hair care regimen is not complete without deep conditioning. For this, the coconut and ricemilk conditioner should be applied weekly. After shampooing, massage into towel dried hair. Leave for 5 mins and rinse. Use weekly.150ml.INR 249

If your hair is overly dry, use a hot oil treatment.

 Coconut & Ricemilk Hot Oil

Place unopened tube in hot water for 1 minute. Massage contents of tube into wet hair for 1 minute. Rinse well and shampoo as usual. 15 ml. INR 44.

If you follow these tips, you are sure to notice results within the first week… and say hello to your lustrous mane!

And as I always say…gorgeous you can be…inside and out! :)
